Fun with Inks - Dahlias

Hello,

Today I am showcasing cards made from the Penny Black stamp set - Dahlias. I have about three cards to share and with each one I have used a different techniques.

Here's a closer look at the cards :

Card 1 :

1. Stamp the images using Archival ink - jet black. Colour them using inks of your choice. I have
used distress inks - Mustard seed, Wild honey, Aged mahagony, Salty ocean.

2. Paint the background using diluted pickled Rasberry adding shadows beneath the flowers.

3. Using the same ink , splatter it on the card panel for an added interest.

4. Stamp a sentiment of your choice.

5. Adhere the panel to the card base.

Card 2 :

1. Prepare your watercolour paper using the antistatic pad and heat emboss the image in White
    embossing powder,

2. Randomly color the images using inks of your choice and dab off the excess with a paper towel.
Give two or more coats until you are satisfied with the colour. I have used DI - Festive berries,
    wilted violet and Pickled Rasberry.

3. Die cut a sentiment and color them using black markers and adhere them onto the panel.

4. Finish it off by adding some sequins and adhere the card to the base.

Card 3 :

1. Take an iris cardstock and sponge them using Spun sugar to create the base.

2. Take a little dark shade and stamp the Big Flower onto the corners.

3. Randomnly stamp the smaller one in Red overlapping the bigger one.

4. Finally, heat emboss the sentiment in White and adhere it to the card.

I hope you liked the cards. Do leave me some comments and suggestions.

Thank you so much for stopping by
